The Dawn of the
Bloodtree By Mike Drake The world is entering a dark time; I am entering a dark place. The site of the great druid is tearing at the group’s soul. Kaylo, and perhaps Drake, is beyond where I stand. I fear he is lost to something darker than what I am to become. This is something I may need to resolve if he (they) cannot be saved – I helped create him (them) and bear the burden. I see fire in Riatha’s eyes – she was wronged by her queen – I think she sees salvation in the druid line and revenge for the forest. Wen is the new soul of the party. We are lucky that he has traveled with us; I fear that without him, we all would be where Kaylo stands. With the guidance of Riatha and Wen, great good could be done. I hope they are able to keep our energies focused in the right direction; I am starting to lose my ability to see where that path lies. Drake must be saved. A mistake made long ago I now must resolve. Who would have thought that being a tree would lead to such enlightenment and reflection? Perhaps the resting place of the high druid caused this – I feel as if he has spoken with me, given me new direction.
