Corporate Espionage 1.0

Argotech is a state of the art research laboratory. They have currently been working on gene mutations allowing certain functions to be amplified to a maximum potential. This research has limitless potential. That information will not be stolen tonight.

A long silver hallway is located in building C of Argotech’s headquarters. These silver walls have nothing hanging on them and show no doors save the one at the end of the hallway. The door is sealed shut with no handles or hinges and next to it is a raised black rectangle. A shadow appears over the door. It has been cast by a well dressed black man. He has short trimmed hair and wears a dark suit with a simple red striped tie. Clipped to his front pocket is a badge that reads his Argotech ID Number and his name, Roger Piercely. He pauses in front of the door and for a moment a line of static runs across his face before vanishing. He is not Roger Piercely.

The man raises his hand and holds it imperceptibly close to the rectangle. If one could see to a microscopic level and peer between the hand and the rectangle one would she Roger’s skin swirl and twist and locate the finest particles of oil that it can locate on this sensor. After mere moments the skin settles down into an exact map of the last hand print that pressed against it. The hand makes contact and the door opens.

The man that is not Roger steps into the recently locked room. The door slides shut behind him. On either side of the room is a row of filing cabinets. Ten on each side. Each identical in every way. The sight of these cabinets makes the man stop in mid stride. He gazes up and down but sees no other furniture in the room.

“Paper files? Fuck.”
